I’m Tevin Heron — you might know me as Skan the DJ. I’ve spent over a decade behind the decks, and I still get the same rush every time the floor fills up. I’m Detroit born and raised on this city’s music, and I’ve helped couples all across Michigan throw the party they’d been picturing for months. That’s the best job in the world, and I don’t take a single night for granted.
Here’s the thing about a great reception: it lives or dies on reading the room. So I watch. I feel the energy shift, and I change the song before people even realize they wanted it. No two crowds are the same, and that’s exactly why I never phone it in.
That’s also why I don’t do cookie-cutter playlists. Your first dance, your family’s favorites, the song that empties the bar and packs the floor — I build it with you, from scratch. It’s your music, not a template. Plus, I coordinate closely with your planner, your photographer, and your venue, so every moment lands right on cue.
